We have recently has our 3rd truck rollover of 2016.

The first 2 were as a result of the vehicle moving onto soft verges & the last most recent incident is as a result of a vehicle taking a right hand bend in wet & greasy road conditions.

This note is being sent in order to ensure we all keep in the front of our minds awareness of the dangers of these sorts of incidents in relation to our specific vehicle type.

The fact that we have had 3 incidents of this type this year merely highlights that even very skilled & experienced drivers can get themselves into positions where truck rollover can occur.

Please take some time to consider the notes below & remain vigilant when out on the roads.

    • Avoid moving your vehicle onto soft verges to pass another vehicle, STOP, let smaller vehicle do the maneuvering
    • Please remind yourself & your drivers about the dangers of changeable weather and the effects it has on road conditions.
    • Always adjust your driving behaviours to suit the road & weather conditions.
    • Always wear a seat belt and remove all loose tools & equipment in the cab.
    • Always be aware of your vehicles limitations. We all know our vehicles are a very high centre of gravity piece of equipment.

Your continued vigilance whilst delivering our product linked to an increased awareness of these hazards will assist us all in ensuring that these types of incidents become a thing of the past.
